We purchase library supplies from Brodart (beyond McNaughton) and Vernon (SWAM/micro). We've also used The Library Store in the past. I suspect any of the vendors under state contract courtesy of the Mid-Atlantic Library Alliance (http://malialibrary.org/) should be considered for this list.

At SWCC, we use NewsBank for two current local database subscriptions (America's Historical Newspapers and America's News w/local newspaper). We have used Sebco Books (previously Quality Books vendor reps) for some special collection development (graphic novels). Besides the VIVA purchases from ProQuest, we have a current local database subscription to ProQuest SIRS Researcher.

Tara:

You mention eVA, so I assume you only want eVA vendors, not vendors for eVA exempt purchases, such as UPS.

Here are some others we use that are not on your list. They are not all materials vendors, but it looks like you are including vendors of other products or services, so I've listed them:
ALA/ACRL (databases and supplies)
Brodart (the actual vendor for the McNaughton service)
Barnes & Noble (TCC bookstore)
CDWG (computer equipment)
Digital Theatre (for streaming media database)
International Clinical Educators, Inc (for streaming media database)
Library of Congress
Matthew Bender (a division of LexisNexis, but separate in eVA)
Midwest Tape (this is a different vendor than Midwest Library Services)
Newsbank
Rodzina (supplies)
Snap (supplies)
Student Debt Crisis Film, LLC (this was a one-off order for rights for a film)
Superior Global Solutions (we haven't used them this year, but have in the past)
TechLogic (RFID and self-check)
William S. Hein & Co., Inc. (database)
And, of course, we use these Mandatory Sources as needed:
VCE
VDC
VIB

Also, TCC goes through Lyrasis for the following vendors, so I don't know if they should be on the list separately or not:
iTeam (workstation management software)
LexisNexis (for database)

I think that is it! j

Tara:

I forgot one: Thomson Reuters (for Westlaw). We are working with them on a database trial.

Also, I think 'what to include' depends on the purpose of the list. While we may not be currently using them, if we are a member of MALiA, all MALiA contracts are available to us. Also, although we may only use a few, all VASCUPP cooperative contracts are available to us.

So, depending on the purpose of the list, you might want to say, All MALiA contract partners and provide the URL, or you might need to list them out. Could you provide a bit more context as to the purpose of the list?

Potentially. What Jacque said about the purpose of your list dictating the vendors listed made sense. You already had MALIA listed but some of their contracts are vendors we use frequently, some occasionally, and some we are unlikely to need.

We've also ordered directly from CRC Press recently.

Hi, Tara.
We also use School Specialty, Inc., S&S, and Grey House Publishing. The first two we order Maker Space supplies from while the other is another publisher we occasionally get books from.

Also, we have a tech contract on our scanners with CCP Solutions, but I don't know if that is the kind of service provider you are looking for.

Thank you.
