This thread has some great ideas.
I'd like to add:
Make sure the faculty and students are aware of the online library resources we already have. We already have eBooks, databases full of articles and the online reference service, but how many students, especially new ones, know this? Creating new services won't do any good if the faculty don't know they exist.
Continue to bring awareness to OER textbooks and resources.
I second the ideas about lending laptops, and hot spots.
