Hi Jennifer,
Some of this data was provided through the IPEDS spreadsheet. Chris Ford at DCC has access to it in Google Drive, so he could share the files with you. Briefly:
Total shared VIVA/VCCS ejournal titles: 73,508
Total shared VIVA/VCCS + DCC Netlibrary ebook titles: 347,875
Total shared VIVA/VCCS e-media titles (includes Overdrive): 48,557
Consider these numbers accurate as of last fiscal year. They do not include recent acquisitions like AVON, Docuseek2, SAGE, etc.
Physical material counts do require running reports out of Alma. We did write up instructions for that as part of the IPEDS data process - Chris should have those.
The subject breakdown of e-journal titles is more complicated (and not part of the IPEDS reporting). To do that, you must rely on the metadata in the journal records which is going to be spotty. I had to do something like this for the Nursing accreditation process at PVCC - they wanted a count of the number of journals in the nursing subject area. Here's what I did:
1. Do an Advanced Search in the Network Zone like so. (Obviously, change the "available for" to Danville CC).

You'll note that I ran it across "Subjects LC contains keywords = nurs* to get all forms of nursing.
I'm open to other suggestions on this one. I got a number that seemed reasonable, but I don't know that it was 100% accurate.
Jacqueline
