Reynolds has successfully migrated to the new EBSCO interface and I have been reviewing all the new features. I noticed that there is no longer an option to share a permalink to search results, although you can create a link to individual articles. There is a search alert feature but I am not interested in regular email alerts, just a one-time link to search results. I used this search results link option quite frequently with the old interface, not only for myself but when working with students. Do anyone happen to know a work around or have you heard if they might be adding this feature down the road? Any insight would be appreciated. Thanks!

Our Westlaw Classic contract is up for renewal and we are evaluating our options. We currently purchase 25 seats (individual licenses) for our Paralegal students enrolled in the LGL-125 Legal Research course. I setup individual Westlaw accounts for students and they finish the process by creating their Westlaw username, password, etc. They have access to this Westlaw account for one semester. There is only one LGL-125 course section offered per semester (typically in the fall and spring) and we have no more than 20 students enrolled in LGL-125 every semester. The other seats we created for paralegal instructors and on-campus access for students not enrolled in LGL-125 (library staff log students into Westlaw on a library computer). We pay a monthly bill that totals about $4,400 per year. We can still renew the older version of Westlaw which is Westlaw Classic but the Westlaw sales representative also provide information on two newer and more expensive versions of Westlaw which are Precision-$6,900 (up to 40 seats per year) and Precision with AI -$10,320 (up to 40 seats per year). I noticed that several VCCS libraries provide access to Westlaw Campus Research. We really don't have the budget to spend any more than we are spending right now. I would like to find out the following for those VCCS colleges that have a paralegal program:

What databases do you provide access to that support the paralegal program?

What database do you provide access to that specifically supports the LGL-125 course?

If you provide access to Westlaw:

What version of Westlaw do you have?

Do you purchase seats (individual licenses) for LGL-125 students or do you have a campus wide subscription?

If you have a campus wide subscription, does it provide access to Westlaw on-campus only or also off-campus?

Does the library budget pay for the Westlaw subscription or does the money come from another budget?

How much do you pay per month or per year for your subscription?

Any information you can provide will be much appreciated!
Thanks,
