Vanished EBL book

[slawlor]

Could someone else check and see if you can find this ebook, either in the OPAC or in through the EBL login.

Fictions, Inc. The Corporation in Postmodern Fiction, Film, and Popular Culture. / Ralph Clare BIB 2295117

It is appearing in the OPAC, but when we go through the link to view it online and EBL screen comes up saying it isn't available.

Normally when this happens, I can log into our EBL admin and turn the visibility back on, but in this case the book isn't appearing in EBL at all.

If it's really gone, then we should delete the BIB record, correct?

[ecrane]

Yeah, it looks like this one was removed and perhaps we didn't receive notification of its removal.

This is a good question for the transition team to look at. There was always a bit of a delay between items being removed from EBL and being removed from the catalog, but with Gene gone, I have no idea who is even getting the information about new records to load and deleted records to remove.

Well for now, can anyone think of a reason for me NOT to log in as an Admin and delete the global record for that particular title? It's causing some heartburn with one of our ENG classes.
