Embedding Films on Demand videos in LibGuides
#1
Our Films on Demand embedded videos don't play in LibGuides even after I allowed "insecure content." I tested in Google Chrome, Firefox and Microsoft Edge. I did test a few embedded Films on Demand videos in Canvas and they play fine after I allow insecure content.

Is anyone else having this issue?

Thanks,
Denise

yes I am having trouble with this and have for a while. I got this film to work by copying the code on your Integrating Library Resource on Canvas - your old version.   https://libguides.tcc.edu/testFOD

Widget Code
<center style="text-align: left;"><a href="http://eztcc.vccs.edu:2048/login?url=http://fod.infobase.com/PortalPlaylists.aspx?wID=18439&amp;xtid=145229" target="_blank"><img alt="" src="//libapps.s3.amazonaws.com/accounts/7418/images/fod-beyondtextbook1.png"></a></center>

Haven't had time to play with it much.  Most of the guide author just put a link for FOD.

All -

I finally got it to work.   I played and played with the iframe code that FOD supplies.   Here is what I came up with that works:

<iframe height='320' width='520' frameborder='0' style='border:1px solid #ddd;' src='https://fod.infobase.com/OnDemandEmbed.aspx?token=42168&wID=98263&plt=FOD&loid=0&w=480&h=500&fWidth=500&fHeight=500'>&nbsp;</iframe>

For that video, when you click on  "share" then "embed" you get the following:

<iframe height='530' frameborder='0' style='border:1px solid #ddd;' width='660' src='http://ezdcc.vccs.edu:2048/login?url=https://fod-infobase-com/OnDemandEmbed.aspx?token=42168&wID=98267&plt=FOD&loid=0&w=640&h=480&fWidth=660&fHeight=530' allowfullscreen allow="encrypted-media">&nbsp;</iframe>

You can see that I REMOVED the proxy stuff, made sure that the direct url had the https, and also took off some embedded settings.

This DOES work from on and off campus.    I just tested it again.

Give it a try and let me know if you can also do it.
