Our Ex Libris Regional User Group meeting is Friday 9/25
#1
I don't see where this was ever posted to Lincsite. While it may not sound like it, the DCRUG is the regional user group for Virginia.  The event is virtual and free. There are updates from both ELUNA, the North American user group, and from Ex Libris. This is a good opportunity to see what Ex Libris and ELUNA are planning, plus there are two presentations from users.  I highly recommend registering and attending if you are available on Friday morning.

Special Sessions

“Changing Lanes: Adapting F2F to Virtual” | James Miller, Hollins University
This session covers a process for adapting face to face instruction content to virtual as well as experiences with new tools: Hypothes.is, Kaltura, and of course, the many features in Zoom.

“Alma Post-migration Data Cleanup for the Physical to Electronic (P2E) Process” | Gordon Xu, Northern Michigan University
Since most legacy ILSs have no dedicated data structure for electronic records, all records are initially migrated into Alma as physical. So it is necessary to run the P2E Process to convert relevant records to Electronic. Although it is important, it's also complicated and difficult for post-migration data cleanup. This session will present what issues of the P2E we have encountered, what lessons we learned, and the strategies we have adopted for P2E data cleanup.
