TCC's Documents may Help - infoprobh - 03-29-2023
All,
I retired from TCC as a cataloging librarian but now work part-time. When I get questions from other staff, I often create a document of "how to" in response. I'm happy to share documents with a few caveats:
-- TCC is a multi-campus college so some of these processes may be a bit different if you are only one campus.
-- I wrote most of these a while ago. I don't think there have been many changes but there may be a few.
-- I've been known to be wrong.
If you have any questions, I'll be glad to help but I only work mornings. I'll do my best but Tara and Emily, in all cases, have a broader view of Alma than I do so they should still be your final authority.
This document is an overview of cataloging here at TCC. OCLC is a magnificent help so don't hesitate to contact them for help.
Have fun and remember, in most cases mistakes are not fatal.
