PrimoVE is operational
#1
Congratulations, all college libraries are successfully migrated to PrimoVE! Many thanks to Emily Altman for her diligent work to set up the new system, and to all of you for customizing, testing, and verifying on a quick timeline!

Although the old non-VE Primo links are automatically redirecting to PrimoVE, Ex Libris strongly recommends the following actions now, if you have not done so already:

  1. Update the code for embedded Primo search boxes on your library page according to Primo VE terminology and parameters.  For more information, see Creating a Search Box With Deep Links to Primo VE.
  2. Change the Primo links on your library website to point to your new PrimoVE direct link, listed here
  3. Update your third-party vendors to point to your new Link Resolver base, listed here. Note that this central work is already in process for shared VIVA/VCCS resource platforms. Only libraries with local subscriptions need to do this themselves.
  4. Subscribe to Email Alerts for Primo VE NA04 on the vendor System Status page, if desired.

Thanks! #1 goes to a Customize the Interface page. Is the search box item somewhere on that page? Our search box was pretty custom. Guess I will need to make some changes...

I want to do #1, the total customizing thing, but not right now. Summer project to change the interface. And it looks like there are some parts of that I may NOT be able to do directly, but will have to send you all a file of some sort to upload into the correct place on a server. I will be contacting you later about all my customizations. :-)

I will do #2 very soon.

Thank you for the updates! And thank you for such a SMOOTH transition! Smoothest interface change I have ever been a part of. You all are the best!
