Guest login

Apologies if I missed this information somewhere along the line...

Do we still have an option of providing a guest login and password to someone from another institution who is trying to help one of our students via LRCLive?

The login and password that is in our policy page does not provide access to our databases, and it looks like everyone else's guest login is configured the same, so I'm guessing that would be true for the rest of the VCCS as well.

The proxy changes, and other work being done at the system office, killed our guest access. I haven't had time to go into each Policy page and update them. I'm not sure if we have any method for guest access right now.

That is correct. In addition to new college proxies, VCCS is also in a new CAS authentication environment. The t/xauth workarounds that were possible in the old environment are no longer possible to achieve with CAS. I have a question out to our Qpoint rep to see how other similar groups address this.
