Survey of Faculty Perceptions of Online Homework Systems - Closes 11/30/18
#1
Hello, all! The message below went out to VCCS science and math faculty this week. This survey is administered by VWCC on behalf of VIVA. It does have a short turnaround time this month, so please remind your science/math folks that we need their input.

----------
"Dear VCCS Science and Math Instructors,
We need to hear from you! The Virtual Library of Virginia (VIVA) recently received General Assembly funding to find ways to lower the cost of learning materials for Virginia’s college students. Online homework systems, also called online study systems, are widely used in the VCCS, especially in the natural sciences and mathematics.

VIVA’s Open and Affordable Course Content Committee is exploring the possibility of creating a free or low-cost online homework system. To this end, the committee needs to understand what homework systems you currently use (or not), and what your needs and expectations are for these systems.

Please take a few minutes to complete this anonymous online survey before Friday, November 30th. The questions are attached for your review and consideration. The aggregated responses will be presented to VIVA leadership in early December. If you have any questions concerning this survey, please contact Mr. Dale Dulaney, OER & Collections Librarian, Virginia Western Community College, at (540) 857-7438 or ddulaney@virginiawestern.edu.

Many thanks!
Tara
