Our switch from Primo Central Index (PCI) to the new Central Discovery Index (CDI) is scheduled for Sunday, July 19, 2020. This change will primarily interest those colleges that manage a significant number of local electronic resources. The VIVA/VCCS shared electronic resources will continue to be managed centrally by the System Office.
For Action:
Test the new end-user experience before the switchover by adding &searchCDI=true to the end of your Primo page URL, for example:
https://vcc-mycc-primo.hosted.exlibrisgr...lang=en_US
becomes
https://vcc-mycc-primo.hosted.exlibrisgr...lang=en_US&searchCDI=true
You have likely noticed changes in your Alma environment to enable the CDI single activation functionality. As always, there is documentation on the move from PCI to CDI on the Ex Libris KnowledgeCenter forthose who are interested – See: Your Move to CDI - Getting Started. If you need any assistance with local management, please send a support ticket. Thank you,
Tara
