Question: Purchasing digital access for a film for an online class

[dawnjwalton2]

Hi! I have a professor here who is teaching ENG 243 online and wants them to watch a film that we don't have in any of our media databases.

Has anyone purchased digital access for a single film for an instructor to use in Canvas? If so, how?

Thanks in advance for your responses, if you have experience or advice regarding this!

We have, but the specifics depend on who makes the film available. Is it available from another streaming media service like, say, Swank, or do you have to license it directly from the producter?

Thanks for your response, Jacque! I'll start with getting a quote from Swank.
