WEPA or other print management

Good morning,

We've received the following message from WEPA:

"Based on the impact that Covid-19 has had on student printing at VCCS Colleges WEPA will not be renewing our Placement Agreement with the VCCS which is scheduled to expire at the end of February 2022.  At this time we would like to provide you with the opportunity to change out your existing equipment for new WEPA Cloud-Based Print Kiosks under a 12-Month Lease Program."

Do any of you use a different print management company? If you're using WEPA, are you planning to stay with them?

We use WEPA but the usage has drastically decreased since the onset of the pandemic. I am curious to see what others are doing also.

IT handles the WEPA contract here and that's the first I've heard of it.

Does the Library fall under IT at your college? And are the WEPA stations mainly in the library or other locations around the campuses?

Corey, VWCC uses WEPA and has something like 12 kiosks across the campus, including 3 in the library. In fact, we just ordered 2 scanning stations that are supposed to integrate with our kiosks in the library (eye roll, would've been nice to know about this contract thing before spending that money). We also spoke with our IT person who is the WEPA contact and he had not heard anything about the contract ending. I suppose we'll wait and see what happens, but we'll have to have some kind of printing solution for our campus if WEPA goes away entirely.
