Jacqueline Carrell -- Last day

Jacqueline Carrell's, PVCC's circulation/access librarian, last day will April 1, 2022. She is moving on to bigger and better things closer to home as she has accepted a position at the University of Richmond.

Please join me in wishing her well! She has been with PVCC for seven years and has been an integral part of everything we do, not to mention all the work she has done for the VCCS and VIVA.

We will miss her! But I know she will go on to do wonderful things!

Thanks, Crystal! I am so grateful for Jacqueline's many efforts that benefited all VCCS libraries, notably, her work as part of the VCCS Shared Collection Committee Data Team, as well as her service to the VIVA Resource Sharing Committee.

I suppose a silver lining here is that her departure makes two important professional development opportunities available. In light of this change, I seek volunteers to serve in these roles.:

1. VCCS Data Team Member - work closely with SO staff and Erin Crane (GCC) to prepare and deliver the annual ACRL / IPEDS reporting template to VCCS libraries each January. There are no meetings or travel, task is limited to late fall / early spring, and the work is high value. This is a great opportunity for someone who would like to learn more about data, and help lead all libraries to meet high-profile reporting requirements.

2. VIVA Resource Sharing Committee Member (3-year appointment) - serve as one of two VCCS representatives to this standing committee. Details:
