VCCS moving to Primo VE
#1
With focused support from Ex Libris during Fall 2022, VCCS is upgrading all Primo instances to Primo VE, estimated for early Spring 2023. Primo VE offers many advantages and increased flexibility for QuickSearch services, summarized in the links below.
The good news is that your library QuickSearch 'look and feel' and URLs will not change substantively, and there is nothing your library needs to do other than respond promptly to forthcoming communication from Emily Altman.

If you are interested in further details, please see the project guide.

Oh Yay! I still need to modify our look and feel, so now I can do it maybe more easily? Looking forward to the updates.

Hello all,

Please see my video announcement/mini-demo of VE: https://www.screencast.com/t/NkeeJlr0

Some notes from the video to pre-empt a few likely questions:
- This is great news and we are really excited about the flexibility moving to VE will afford us...The biggest thing is that we will be able to make changes for a single school without affecting the other 22. Changes are also nearly instantaneous, which is not the case currently.
- The System Office will continue to serve as administrators for Primo VE, and will work with you to leverage VE's flexibility to best serve your users.
- I send a link to the new VE site and create a TeamDynamix ticket for each school so that we can communicate about this project. The amount of customization you do is up to you.
- We anticipate a January cutover date, and little to no disruption in the cutover process.
- I'll be in touch soon, but feel free to reach out if you have questions in the meantime!

Are you seeing an error of some sort, or is it a problem with the player? Is this in all Web browsers?

I am using Google Chrome. The link opens in a new tab and says that the site can't be reached. I don't have the software on my computer to open it anywhere but in a browser. In Firefox it says the secure connection failed.
