eVA requisitions need contract # IN quote

I received this note in an email from a Shared Services eVA approver this morning. Evidently it is a new rule, not widely known.

"I wanted to let you know that we need to have the vendors contract# on Quotes and Invoices going forward.  Before I can process this attached quote, I will need you to have the contract# on this quote.  Talking to the vendor colleges can add to the quote when keying the order online."

Anyway, this is the second requisition I've had delayed because I had only put the contract number in the contract field and comments, but had not known to ask the vendor to include it. The first time, the approver contracted the vendor for a new quote without letting me know why. So I felt like it was important to spread the word.

And when I replied that I had missed the announcement, not particularly apologetically, this was the reply:

"I am not sure if one was sent out, but they mentioned to us going forward we had to be sure the contract#s are on them.  We are just announcing it as we receive them.  Thank you for your quick follow up on this."
