Please see this recent announcement from VIVA:
Dear colleagues –
We’re pleased to announce that registration is now open for VIVA’s 2020 Open and Affordable Community Forum! Due to COVID-19 the 2020 Forum is now a virtual event, but will still be held on September 25th. The theme for this year’s Forum is OER in Virginia: Creating a Caring Community. The planning committee is happy to share that this year’s keynote speaker is Dr. Amy Collier (https://digitallearning.middcreate.net/p...y-collier/), a leading thinker in digital pedagogies and open and online learning. Session highlights include Open and Affordable Course Marking in Virginia; Struggles and Success in the Creation of an Open United Nations Anti-Poverty Toolkit; Clearly You Can: Suddenly Open Resources; and a faculty panel on working with students to create an open community.
The Planning Committee is also pleased to note that this year, in addition to library staff, interested faculty and students from VIVA institutions are welcome to register for this event.
The full agenda and more information about the Open and Affordable Community Forum can be found here: https://vivalib.org/open/oacc-forum .
Registration is available here: https://vivalib.libcal.com/calendar/even...Forum-2020.
We are looking forward to seeing you there.
Sincerely,
